Sources reported that Drew Peterson, 54,   is now engaged to a Chicago woman.  The future Mrs. Peterson is twenty three, the same age as his missing wife Stacy.  He has apparently been seeing this young women approximately four months after his wife disappeared.  Peterson remains a suspect in her disappearance.

The former police sergeant met with a divorce attorney in November to begin divorce procedures.  The state of Illinois has a law which allows a spouse to divorce after one year known as willful desertion or abandonment.  Glen Selig a spokesperson for Peterson spoke about the engagement after Derek Armstrong the author of a book about Peterson broke the news.  Selig said:  “This is a private matter as far as we’re concerned,” Selig said. “And he’s entitled to be happy.”
