Dakota Fanning, 14, playing Jane opposite Robert Pattison & Co. in New Moon.  Can she pull off the role, I mean she’s still young but she has proven herself as a great little actress.  New Moon is the upcoming sequel to the box office mega hit which has everyone wanting more.

Sources have reported that “there has been no auditions.”  The producers apparently have so much confidence in Fanning and her ability to play the role that they just offered it to her.  WOW…she should be quite proud.  That speaks volumes.  Now the negotiations are in the process.

Jane is a member of one of the deadly clan of bloodsucking killers.

In a recent article from E Online they were able to see the casting notice which described the character Jane as:  “as a petite blonde with a “Botticelli angel-like face…[and] crimson irises.” While fellow Volturi guards Demetri & Felix “are three times the size of her, they are terrified of her,”

Chris Weitz, Director of New Moon is expected to begin shooting the film in March.  If all goes as well with the it is scheduled to be released on November 20, 2009, at a theater near you!  We can’t wait!
