Tennessee’s new head coach Lane Kiffin has been reprimanded by the SEC for falsely accusing University of Florida coach Urban Meyer of a recruiting violation.

Reports are that Kiffin has apologized after remarking to Tennessee Fans during a breakfast held in celebration of signing day that Meyer violated recruiting rules by phoning wide receiver prospect Nu’Keese Richardson.

According to NCAA and SEC recruiting rules  contacting  a prospect while they are on an official visit to another school is not a violation.

Jeremy Foley, Florida Athletic Director called Kiffin’s remarks out of line, inappropriate and false.
