Ohio Teenager’s Sweet Deals Goes Sour
This is the case of a sweet tooth turns rotten:
An 18-year-old Ohio teenager allegedly tried to pull off a “sweet deal“ when he ordered more than $37,000 worth of candy and charged it to his former high school.
According to sources, the company “The Goodies Factory” became suspicious when the young man placed orders for thousands of lollipops and candy bars using a Middleton High School purchasing order.
The company contacted the school and were told by detectives to send an empty box. The empty box was shipped to the address he had given them which was his home. Needless to say he was arrested after the fake delivery. He faces two counts of felony telecommunications fraud. He is currently be held in jail on more than $30,000 bond.
It’s not clear what his intentions were and what he planned to do with it. Perhaps he just had a sweet tooth!
