Actor Comedian Dom DeLuise Dies

Actor, comedian and chef, Dom Deluise has died in his sleep in a Los Angeles hospital.

Sources report that the funnyman was suffering from kidney failure and respiratory problems following a long battle with cancer.   He was 75 years old.

Dom Deluise Facts:

DeLuise was born in Brooklyn, New Yorkin 1931.

He frequently co-starred in films with his good friend Burt Reynolds.

His star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is at 1777 Vine Street.

He is the author of two children’s books: “Charlie The Caterpillar” and “Goldie Locks & The Three Bears: The Real Story!”.

Was named as “King of Brooklyn” at the Welcome Back to Brooklyn Festival in 1984

Highly regarded as a chef, he has published two books of his favorite Italian recipes, “Eat This!” and “Eat This, Too!”

Dom has been married to Carol DeLuise since 1965.

Dom is father of actors Peter, Michael and David DeLuis.

His first professional work was in the role of Bernie the Dog in a children’s play.
