Man Accused In Letterman Plot Is Denied Appeal

According to an article published by the  Associated Press The Montana Supreme Court has denied the appeal of  Kelly Frank, 47,  who is serving time for a 2005 case in which he plotted to kidnap David Letterman’s son at Letterman’s ranch in Montana.

In June of 2007, Frank escaped from prison and was on the run for six days until he was recaptured.  He was given 10 more years for escaping.

He appealed his escape conviction to the state Supreme Court, which on Tuesday affirmed the conviction.

Frank will be eligible for parole in May 2011.
