A public memorial service is scheduled for former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, 36.

The first public viewing will take place in Nashville on Thursday followed by a memorial service that evening.

A funeral will be held Saturday in Mississippi but arrangements are not yet final. McNair, 36, in Mt. Olive, a small town in southern Mississippi where McNair grew up.

Fans are asked to make donations to the Steve McNair Foundation.
