Brett the Goat Finds A Home, Janelle Riopel Needs a Ride In a Trunk

USA Today: Work in a tire shop and you’ll see your share of lug nuts. But the guys at Tires Plus in Winona, Minn., will never forget their encounter last Friday.
It started with a broken serpentine belt and a driver stopping in for a repair.
The woman was told the fix would take an hour and that she should stop back then. But before she left she had a little something to share.
“By the way,” service writer James Prusi recalls the woman saying, “There’s a goat in my trunk.”
Prusi wasn’t sure he heard correctly, so he asked the woman to repeat herself.
“She said she was going to butcher the goat.”
Now the guys at Tires Plus aren’t ones to meddle in their customer’s business, but then the goat started crying.

Note: It is not very often that the writers at Behind Blondie Park express their personal thoughts on the news we report. However, in cases such as this it is difficult to refrain. We say…shave her, paint her purple, brand the number 4 on the side of her face and stick her in the trunk for a few days. How cruel can someone be!

The goat now named “Brett” has been adopted by a family living in Eleva, Wisconsin where it is roaming with 15 other goats on 110 acres of farmland.
