Rattlesnakes Joined at Neck to go Separate Ways
Associated Press Video Highlights: Two diamondback rattlesnakes joined at the neck will soon be separated in a delicate surgical procedure. Vets say the snakes cannot survive together.

Someone found a conjoined diamondback rattlesnake at a construction site ten days ago and contacted the Desert Museum.

The snake is actually two snakes connected at the neck with soft tissue. It has two full bodies and two heads. It is not a two headed snake because it does not share a body. Veterinarians plan to separate it this Thursday at the museum. It would not have survived in the wild because the two snakes were constantly struggling against eachother.
