Browns Trade Braylon Edwards to Jets

The Cleveland Browns have traded wide receiver Braylon Edwards to the New York Jets, both teams have announced.

The Jets traded wide receiver Chansi Stuckey, linebacker Jason Trusnik and two undisclosed draft choices to the Browns for Edwards, a former first-round draft pick.

Jets acquire WR Braylon Edwards from Browns

The deal comes with the Browns winless and Edwards being investigated by the league for possible disciplinary action under the NFL’s personal conduct policy. A man accused Edwards of assaulting him outside a Cleveland nightclub early Monday. The man is a friend of Cleveland Cavaliers basketball standout LeBron James and said that Edwards started an argument because of his jealousy over James’s success. James reportedly called Edwards’s actions “childish.”
There was speculation during the offseason that Edwards might be traded, perhaps to the New York Giants.  Read more here
