Hurricane Ida Projected Path Photos and Video
Hurricane Ida, is now a category 2 hurricane and is moving across the gulf of Mexico where a hurricane watch has been extended into Florida. Ida also hit Cancun on Sunday bringing with it strong winds and heavy rain.
Ida has reached speeds of up to 100mph in the state of Florida and is expected to reach the gulf coast of Mexico by today or tomorrow.

As Ida is nearing US Gulf Coast, some of the offshore oil and gas rigs were evacuated. Meanwhile, the price of oil has jumped to over $78 a barrel, as Bloomberg reports.
