Chicago School Chief Found Dead Was Subpoenaed in Federal Probe
Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) — The Chicago school board president found dead today had been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury examining alleged preferential admission of students into elite public schools.
Michael Scott’s body was found along the banks of the Chicago River this morning. His death has been ruled a suicide, said Pam Smith, a spokeswoman for the Cook County medical examiner. She said he died from a gunshot wound to the head. Read full story here
