Highlights: Yanks sign Thames, make Winn official
On the day the Yankees finalized a one-year deal with a potential left fielder for the 2010 season, they reportedly reached agreement with a man who could give him even more competition.
The Bronx Bombers announced the addition of Randy Winn to a contract reportedly worth up to $2 million on Monday. And according to published reports, they also signed veteran outfielder Marcus Thames to a Minor League deal.
Thames, who turns 33 on March 6, will come in competing with Winn and Brett Gardner for playing time, according to SI.com, which first reported the signing. Thames will get $900,000 if he makes the 25-man roster. Read full story here

The Chicago White Sox are reportedly close to acquiring utility player Mark Teahen 28, from the Kansas City Royals.
According to a report in the Chicago Sun-Times, the White Sox would send infielders Chris Getz and Josh Fields to Kansas City.
