Emily Maynard, 24, was engaged to NASCAR driver Ricky Hendrick.  She is a bachelor contestant who revealed to bachelor Brad Womack  last night about the tragic loss she experienced when the Hendrick Motorsports  crew were killed in a airplane crash in October of 2004  there were no survivors.  Ten were on board.  She also told Womack that she has a five year daughter with Hendrick’s.

Ricky began his career driving a Busch car for his father, but retired in 2002 because of a shoulder injury caused by a racing accident. His father then made him the owner of the Busch car.

We were actually getting some bad vibes as the two  were on their single date.  She had several opportunities to tell him….we thought if she didn’t speak up….the date would be over.  In the end she finally came through…huge sigh or relief.    It was quiet touching as she shared her loss.  Womack  who was on another Bachelor series  was one of the most disliked (that has since changed) could not have handle it any better and it changed the entire tempo and it was then they truly connected!

About the Crash:

The Beech 200 took off from Concord, N.C., and crashed in the Bull Mountain area seven miles from Martinsville’s Blue Ridge Regional Airport about 12:30 p.m., said Arlene Murray, spokeswoman for the Federal Aviation Administration.

It was overcast and foggy when the plane went down, but the cause of the crash was not immediately known. NTSB spokesman Keith Holloway said investigators were on their way to the site, which was in rough terrain.
