Virginia Tech On Lockdown
Sources are reporting that the campus at Virginia Tech was on lockdown after three juveniles attending a camp there reported seeing an armed man near the campus dining hall.
A message posted by the school on their website home page at 9:37 a.m. said . “Stay Inside. Secure doors. Emergency personnel responding. Call 911 for help.”
The juveniles described the man as being 6 feet tall with light brown hair. He was wearing a blue & white shirt, gray shorts and sandals. He was holding what may have been a handgun. He had it covered with a cloth and was walking very fast towards the volleyball courts.
Authorities were on the scene immediately but were unable to find anyone who fit the description. No other reports about seeing a gunman have been made. They are continuing to search for th subject. Anyone who sees anything suspicious is being ask to contact 911 or the Virginia Tech Police Department at 231-6411.
