Astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon, passed away on August 25th at the age of 82…will be buried a sea.
“Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed.”
Prior to Armstrong joining NASA’s space program in 1962…he was a fighter pilot in the Navy. According to source “Burials at Sea” are common for Navy veterans.
The family has not specify where or when the service will take place.
Next Thursday, a memorial service will be held at the Washington National Cathedral.
A private service was held in his home state of Ohio.
