Rumors that NBC is Firing Matt Lauer
NBC Today Show co-anchor Matt who has reportedly had repeated run-ins with co-anchors including Katie Couric, Meredith Vieira.
Lauer is also said to be the one pressured producers of the show to dismiss co-host Ann Curry in June, 2012, and is being blamed for the plummet in the networks ratings…is about to get the NBC boot, according to the National Enquirer.
Now if reports are true…weatherman Al Roker, who is reportedly to be a loyal friend of Ann Curry, is plotting to push the 54-year-old TV veteran out of his anchor chair.
Lauer, who been a host on the show since 1996, and has a current salary of $21.5 million a year.

Lauer was married from 1982 until 1989 to a television producer named Nancy Alspaugh. The marriage ended in divorce. From 1989 until 1996, he dated Kristen Gesswein, a television newscaster. They were briefly engaged. In 1998, he married Annette Roque, a Dutch model known as “Jade.” During Roque’s pregnancy with their third child in 2006, she and Lauer separated. Although Roque filed for divorce in Manhattan Supreme Court on September 13, 2006, the couple subsequently reconciled.
