FOUR! Morgan Miller, Professional Volleyball player and wife of Olympic skier Bode Miller has a pair of sunglasses to thank …after she was whacked in the eye by a golf ball which was reportedly traveling at around 160 mph.
Miller and her Olympic gold medalist and world champion skier were playing golf when the accident took place. The shades she was wearing when the ball hit her were made by a company called Kaenon.
According to manufacturing reviews…Kaenon’s proprietary SR-91 is the only lens material that combines the superior optical quality of the finest glass and the lightweight, strength and impact resistance of polycarbonate.
The lens provides ultimate protection from more than the sun and exceeds the standards for high impact resistance.
Following the accident Morgan “tweeted” about the ordeal saying that she and Bode were out golfing (somewhere) and he nailed her right in the “peeper” … HARD. She attached a photo and thanked the sunglasses manufacturer.
Samuel Bode Miller is a World Cup alpine ski racer with the U.S. Ski Team. He is an Olympic and World Championship gold medalist, a two-time overall World Cup champion in 2005 and 2008, and can therefore be considered the most successful male American alpine ski racer of all time (with only Lindsey Vonn surpassing him). Miller is also considered one of the greatest World Cup racers of all time with 33 victories, and is one of five other men to win World Cup events in all five disciplines.
