New York Art Gallery Owner Commits Suicide

‘No husband, no kids, no savings, no health insurance, no any support’ is how Marijana Bego, 54, described her life in a 100-page manifesto to her niece, Bego-Ezair Art Gallery

which she called it the “most romantic story of all times.”

She sent a copy of the “letter” to Ivana Ristic, written  just days before she plunged five floors from the roof of building which housed her business.

Bego, the ‘eccentric’ owner of  Bego-Ezair art gallery on Madison Avenue and two other galleries was reportedly heartbroken after her relationship with boyfriend of 20 years Khedouri Ezair, 46, ended years ago… The final straw came a couple of months before her death, when Ezair, who managed the business’ finances, canceled her credit card and health insurance.

Ezair, was a real estate executive and owner of the  “Khedouri Ezair Corporation.”

It is believe that the devastation of the breakup, mounting debt and other undisclosed personal problems lead up to her death.

Initially…the news of her death, was first believed to  caused by a hit-and-run accident because if severe injuries to her legs.  It has since been determined that her December 22, death was suicide.
