Criminal Minds Star Thomas Gibson Strikes a Plea Deal

Thomas Gibson who stars  as Aaron “Hotch” Hotchner on the CBS Drama “Criminal Minds” has struck a plea deal  with the LA District Attorneys office in his DUI arrest.Criminal Minds Celebrity Tom Gibson Plea

On January 6, 2013, Gibson drove through a Los Angeles area closed for a half marathon despite being told to stop by police. Gibson declined to take a breathalyzer test at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of DUI.  He paid a $15,000 bail and was released on January 7.

Gibson appeared in court today and plead “no contest” to one count of alcohol-related reckless driving — and in exchange, prosecutors dropped the DUI counts.

The night of Gibson’s arrest, multiple officers took him down while he screamed, “I am not resisting … I am not resisting.”

His best known roles include Daniel Nyland on CBS’s Chicago Hope, Greg Montgomery on ABC‘s Dharma & Greg, and Aaron Hotchner on CBS’s Criminal Minds.
Criminal Minds… follows a team of profilers from the FBI‘s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) based in Quantico, Virginia.

Linda Hogan (Linda Bollea), former wife of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan (Terry Gene Bollea)  was reportedly arrested yesterday in Malibu on suspicion of DUI. According to sources…Linda,   was pulled over by Malibu police at around 1:34 AM Thursday morning. 

More About Thomas Gibson

Prior to CRIMINAL MINDS, Thomas Gibson was well-known for his five years as Greg in the series “Dharma & Greg,” for which he received a Golden Globe nomination.  His other television credits include a starring role in the series “Chicago Hope,” on CBS; the movies “Raising Waylon,” “The Inheritance” and “Brush with Fate,” all on the Network; the role of Beauchamp Day in the groundbreaking “Tales of the City” and “More Tales of the City”; “Evil Never Dies”; “A Will of Their Own”; “The Monkey King”; and the miniseries “Category 6: Day of Destruction,” on CBS, and “The Kennedys of Massachusetts.” 

Gibson made his feature film debut with a starring role in the epic “Far and Away” and has since appeared in “Eyes Wide Shut,” “The Age of Innocence,” “Barcelona,” “Love and Human Remains,” “Sleep with Me,” “Psycho Beach Party” and “Stardom,” among others.

A graduate of Juilliard, Gibson made his New York stage debut in “A Map of the World” at the New York Shakespeare Festival.  His additional theater work includes leading roles at Circle in the Square and Joseph Papp’s “Shakespeare in the Park.”  He worked on and off Broadway for more than 10 years in a wide variety of roles.
