Duck Hunter Accidentally Killed by Hunting Partner
A duck-hunting trip turned tragic in Northern Minnesota Saturday when a 23-year-old man was accidentally shot and killed.
The men were in a 14-foot aluminum flat bottom boat in a channel between two lakes. They both stood up at the same time to aim at the ducks when the victims hunting partner lost his balance and shot him accidentally with his shotgun.
Deputies, fire departments, ambulances and volunteers responded to the scene in which was reportedly in remote location were trying to get a boat with the victim across the lake where an ambulance crew was waiting.
Sadly, Poole was deceased by the time the boat had crossed the lake north of Round Bay, off Highway 87.

Poole, a passionate duck hunter and avid outdoorsman had just his girlfriend Allison on September 07th.
Authorities say they are treating Poole’s death strictly as an accident. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the name of the hunting partner.
