Michael Jackson’s three children, Paris, Prince and Blanket honored their father’s memory with a birthday celebration in Gary, Indiana where Jackson grew up.

Jackson, who passed away on June 25th, 2009, would have celebrated his 56th birthday on August 29th. 
The occasion marked the first time all three Jackson children have been seen together in quite some time.

Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr. (born February 13, 1997), also known as Prince Michael Jackson I, is an American television personality and actor.  He is the oldest child of Michael Jackson.

Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson (born April 3, 1998), commonly known as Paris Jackson, is an aspiring actress.  She is the middle child and only daughter of Michael Jackson.

Prince Michael “BlanketJackson II (born February 21, 2002) is an American television personality. He is the youngest child of Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson:  The Early Years

Michael Jackson was born on August 29, 1958. He was the eighth of ten children in an African-American working-class family who lived in a two-bedroom house in Gary, Indiana, an industrial city and a part of the Chicago metropolitan area.  His mother, Katherine Esther Scruse, was a devout Jehovah’s Witness.

She once aspired to be a country and western performer who played clarinet and piano, but worked part-time at Sears to help support the family.  His father, Joseph Walter “Joe” Jackson, a former boxer, was a steelworker at U.S. Steel. Joe also performed on guitar with a local R&B band called The Falcons to supplement the family’s household income.Michael grew up with three sisters (Rebbie, La Toya, and Janet) and five brothers (Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon, and Randy).A sixth brother, Marlon’s elder twin Brandon, died shortly after birth.
