50 Cent Arrested in St. Kitts
50 Cent was arrested in St. Kitts in the Caribbean Saturday night … for using a word that’s apparently illegal there … ‘motherf*****.”
Sources reportedly told http://defineddesignsblog.com/2018/01/apartment-update-bts-photos/ TMZ.com that 50 had been warned not to use profanity during his performance in front of 40,000 people. We’re told the DJ didn’t have a clean version of his set, and 50 didn’t pull the mic away from his mouth when he roared, “motherf*****” … and that was enough to get him arrested.
Cops showed up after his performance and took him to the local station. It was then that he was booked for using profanity in public. It’s a minor offense, but he has to stick around until Monday when he’ll go to court and pay a fine.
Had 50 Cent brushed up on his Eastern Caribbean Law prior to the St. Kitts performance, he would have read that cursing in public is illegal in the nation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. In 2003, rapper DMX was also arrested for cursing during a concert in the Caribbean country.
“There was a contract signed in which it was made very clear long before the arrival of the artists that there are laws in St. Kitts that do not take kindly to the use of indecent language on stage,” Information Minister Jacinth Henry Martin said at the time of DMX’s arrest. The rapper denied signing any contract that warned that explicit language was prohibited.
