A former guest on the Dr. Phil show is claiming that her appearance on the day-time talk show series caused her to have a mental breakdown.

Kaden Mahaffa, who was on the show in 2017 to support her boyfriend who had experienced a childhood of abuse. However, during a pre-interview she told producers that she has x-ray vision, the ability to hear people’s thoughts, and other psychic abilities. She also said the she was a therapist

In her lawsuit, Mahaffa describes Dr. Phil as “a powerful Hollywood celebrity who uses his fame and credibility as a mental health professional to gain the trust of mentally-ill psychiatric patients, only to turn around and publicly humiliate them for the sake of good television ratings and advertising dollars.”

Mahaffa says that because of the pre-show interview, she became the focus of the show and was ridiculed by Dr. Phil who ask hostile questions about her sanity, beliefs and mental health credentials.

According to suit, she suffered a mental breakdown backstage … “collapsing in tears and engaging in erratic behavior” including shouting at staffers and tearing out her own hair.

She’s suing Dr. Phil, his production company and CBS for infliction of emotional distress, fraud and negligent misrepresentation … and seeking unspecified damages.

ESP Abilities (Extrasensory Perception)

Perhaps one of the best known paranormal powers is ESP (extrasensory perception) that’s often called the sixth sense. ESP is an independent sensory perception. It also states ESP is an ability to perceive things that others might not. ESP is grouped with other psychic abilities, such as telepathy and clairvoyance.
