The secret service reportedly escorted President Donald Trump from a press conference on Monday less than five minutes after it began.

According to sources, there was an active shooter firing at the White House, which led to the President being taken out of the briefing.

Nine minutes later when the President returned, he told the media that ‘There was a shooting outside of the White House and it seems to be very well under control.’ He added ‘I’d like to thank the Secret Service for doing their always quick and very effective work. There was an actual shooting and somebody has been taken to the hospital. I don’t know the condition of the person. Seems that the person was shot by the Secret Service, so we will see what happens.’
