Amy Winehouse was forced to cut short her first performance of 2009 in St. Lucia due to heavy rain.  Winehouse who has been staying on the island for several months was performing at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival when heavy rain began to fall and a lighting strike interfered with the sound equipment.  According to Winehouse spokesman Chris Goodman she wanted  to continue but was forced to stop.   Goodman said that singer was disappointed, as she’d hoped to repay people in St. Lucia for their hospitality.
