Bill Belichick Ravens Patriots

Sunday, January 10th, 2010

Patriots head coach Bill Belichick just met with the media for his postgame Q&A following his team’s 33-14 loss to the Ravens.

Bill Belichick statement:

First of all, let’s start by congratulating the Ravens today. They were certainly better than we were in every phase of the game.

They were the better team from start to finish.

We didn’t do enough things well, obviously, to be really competitive in the game. A disappointing way to finish the season. Really isn’t too much to say. They were the better team today. Highlights:  Patriots head coach Bill Belichick bad call!

No matter which way you dissect it, Bill Belichick made a bad call

It was 34-28 with 2:23 left. Then came the tragic set of downs and Belichick’s bold and crushing gamble.

In the postgame confusion, Belichick twice made a reference to the Patriots trying to gain 1 yard.

“I thought we could get that yard,’’ he said.
