BCC News has reported:  That a US judge will decide whether R&B singer Chris Brown can perform at the Michael Jackson tribute gig in Vienna later this month, it has emerged.

Jermaine Jackson announced that Brown was part of the concert’s line-up on Wednesday, but now there is doubt over whether he will be allowed to attend.

Brown, 20, was sentenced to community service after he admitted to assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna, last month.

A Los Angeles judge delays the sentencing of Chris Brown!

A California judge on Wednesday postponed the sentencing of singer Chris Brown for the assault of Rihanna, the singer with whom Brown has had a ♥romantic relationship.

The actual sentencing has been rescheduled for August 27.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg was expected to impose five years of probation and about 1,400 hours in “labor-oriented service.”  Read full story here

Despite his  best efforts, Chris Brown’s attorney has not yet managed to do away with his court case.

Attorney Mark Geragos requested, and was subsequently denied, a postponement of his upcoming make-or-break preliminary hearing.

According to !Eonline

Geragos wanted a hold on the case, claiming the the leaked police photo of Rihanna’s bruised face would compromise Brown’s defense. He had requested access to records of the police’s internal investigation, arguing that a pending California Supreme Court case could prevent him from obtaining them in the future (per current law, Geragos will only be allowed access to the records after the preliminary hearing he’s trying his best to delay).

The California appeals court shot down Geragos’ request without giving a reason, and the prelim, which will determine whether the case goes to trial and at which Rihanna has been subpoenaed to testify, is still on for June 22.

A spokesperson for Chris Browns manager Tina Davis has denied rumors that she and Brown are romantically involved.

Davis’ lawyer spoke with on her behalf and said  “The relationship between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown is that of manager and client. There has never been any other relationship. The rumors in circulation are false. There are no emails between Ms. Davis and Mr. Brown of the type which have been described in media reports.”

He added “If the source of the false rumors is identified, legal action will be taken. Given the nature of the legal issues affecting Mr. Brown, Ms. Davis will not be making any further statements.”

Singer Rhinna was scheduled to perform in concert in Malaysia on Tuesday however, after this past weekends turn of events, her performance has been postponed.

LAPD continues to investigate the alleged domestic assault case in which the singer was beaten up by boyfriend Chris Brown following a pre-grammy celebration over the weekend.

The incident occurred in Brown’s car.  He left the scene before the police arrived, they found Rihanna, 20, suffering from a bloody nose, split lip and bite marks in the vehicle. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, but later released.

Brown, 19, has been arrested and charged with making criminal threats. He is currently free on bail.

The LAPD presented the case against Brown to prosecutors, but were asked to conduct further investigation, said Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the L.A. District Attorney’s Office.

Pineapple Concerts a Malaysia-based entertainment business said in a statement on its website:  “In light of recent events involving Rihanna” a new date for the concert will be set within two weeks.

Sources reported that Rihanna has been cooperating with authorities.  Neither Rihanna or Brown have commented about the incident.

According to sources… Rihanna will not be pursuing charges after being allegedly struck Sunday by boyfriend and singer Chris Brown after the pair attended a pre-Grammy party on Saturday evening. The altercation, which led to Brown’s arrest for Felony Domestic Assault is rumored to have started when Rihanna revealed that she had given Brown Herpes.  Apparently is didn’t set very well with the singer and he lashed out.  Now, if it couldn’t get any worse Rihanna claims to have contracted the virus from a rapper Jay-Z who happens to be married to singer Beyonce.  So is Jay-Z sleeping single in a double bed tonight?  So the saga continues!
