Cowboys’ Ware sprains neck in collision

Cowboys LB DeMarcus Ware was carted off the field during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Chargers after suffering a sprained neck.

The Cowboys released a statement saying Ware was taken to the hospital for X-rays after further evaluation, and confirmed he had full movement and strength in his extremities.

Ware was pursing quarterback Philip Rivers early in the fourth quarter Sunday when he collided into Brandyn Dombrowski. Ware’s head went straight into Dombrowski’s upper leg, then Ware remained on the ground.

Ware, who colided head-first with a Chargers offensive lineman while rushing the quarterback, was down on the field for a lengthy period of time, surrounded by medical personnel as well as players from both teams.

Terrell Owens has been dismissed by the Cowboys.  According to sources,  Jerry Jones’ decision to release Owens was made late Wednesday night and was said to have been  “difficult for the Cowboys’ owner.”   But it was the right thing to do.  Terrell Owens is a talented football player, however, the distraction he brings was no longer worth it to the Cowboys.

Without Owens, the Cowboys still has plenty of talent and a lost less baggage!
