Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac

Mortgage finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were ordered by their federal regulator to no longer trade their shares on the New York Stock Exchange, the agency announced Wednesday. Both stocks plummeted on the news.

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and its predecessor agency have overseen the operation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac since September 2008, when they were both placed under conservatorship, a form of control similar to what is found in a bankruptcy process.  Read full story here

Freddie Mac Financial Officer David Kellerman Found Dead

Story Highlights: Freddie Mac, chief financial officer, David Kellerman found dead.

Sources have reported that David Kellerman,  the acting chief financial officer for Freddie Mac, was found dead in the basement of his Fairfax County, Virginia home today from what his wife claims was suicide.

According to Officer Shelley Broderick of the Fairfax County Police Department the call came in at 4:48 a.m.  Officer Broderick said “there were no signs of foul play,” however, the case remains under investigation.

Kellerman was forty-one-years-old.

He is survived by his wife Donna and their daughter Grace.
