Animal befriended by Marine wanders Into camp after two-day, 70-mile journey through Iraq.
Nubs, the one-time Iraqi street mutt named by American soldiers for the stubs where his ears used to be made his debut on this mornings Today Show, along with Marine major Brian Dennis 36, who rescued him while Dennis was on patrol in the Anbar province.
The story began with a few e-mails Dennis sent home about a dog his unit had met while looking for insurgents along the border of Iraq and Syria. If all goes as planned, it will end with a man and a dog he grew to love reunited on American soil. Read full story here

Iraqi Dog Walks 70 Miles To Find Soldier
Marine Major Brian Dennis started an email campaign and raised over $3,000 to get Nubs out of Iraq and to San Diego to stay with some friends until he can be reunited with him when he returns from Iraq himself.
