An Associated Press investigation has uncovered that South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford used state aircraft for personal and political trips. That goes against state law, which says use of the aircraft is only for official business.

Personal Trips Would Violate S.C. Law

Gov. Mark Sanford used state aircraft for personal and political trips, often bringing along his wife and children contrary to state law regarding official use, an Associated Press investigation has found.

According to state budget law, “Any and all aircraft owned or operated by agencies of the State Government shall be used only for official business.”

Records reviewed by the AP show that since he took office in 2003, the two-term Republican has taken trips on state aircraft to his sons’ sporting events, hair and dentist appointments, political party gatherings and a birthday party for a campaign donor. Read full Story Here

Fox News has reported

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s mistress has been revealed.  According to sources the mystery woman is   43- year old  Maria Belen Shapur an employee of an international agriculture company who speaks several languages and lives in an upscale apartment building in Buenos Aires, Argentina, local media there are reporting.

A witness who works in the building described her as a beautiful brunette with big eyes who plays tennis on a nearby lawn and runs every morning in her neighborhood.
