Austin’s record day saves Cowboys

Highlights: Cowboys – Chiefs

Miles Austin scored the winning touchdown in overtime on a 60-yard catch-and-run to cap a huge game in place of the injured Roy Williams, and the Dallas Cowboys escaped with a 26-20 victory Sunday over Kansas City.

Austin had 10 catches for 250 yards as the Cowboys survived numerous mistakes against the winless Chiefs. Austin also had a tackle-breaking 59-yard touchdown catch to give the Cowboys (3-2) a 20-13 lead with 2:16 left in the fourth quarter.  Read full Story Here

Peterson put the Vikings in front in the opening frame when he scored on a 5-yard run and two minutes later the Vikings were celebrating another touchdown after Jared Allen picked up a fumble and went 52-yards for a score and a 14-0 advantage. Peyton Manning was 31/41 for 353 yards passing and a pair of touchdowns, Reggie Wayne had six catches for 74 yards and a TD and Joseph Addai collected 46 yards rushing and 50 yards receiving along with a touchdown as the Indianapolis Colts (4-0) remained perfect on the year, dropping the Seattle Seahawks (1-3) 34-17 on Sunday.

Ravens Jared Gaither Injury

The Colts jumped to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a one-yard run from Donald Brown and that lead was extended to 14-0 in the second when manning hit Wayne on a 15-yard toss. Seattle managed to put three points on the board when Olindo Mare kicked a 38-yard field goal with 1:22 left in the half. Unfortunately for the Seahawks that was plenty of time for Manning to orchestrate another scoring drive and when he found Austin Collie on a 21-yard touchdown pass with 3 seconds left the Colts had built their lead to 21-3.  Read full story here

Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither was taken off the field on a stretcher during the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots.

Team officials said Gaither had movement in all his extremities but will be taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for neck and shoulder examinations. It appeared that the crown of Gaither’s helmet cracked into the back of quarterback Joe Flacco in a pileup in the backfield.  Read full story here
