The Steelers exploded in the second half to defeat the Denver Broncos 28-10 and improve their record to 6-2.

Safety Tyrone Carter, starting for Ryan Clark, got the Steelers on the board first with a 48-yard interception return for a touchdown. After a defensive battle in the first half, the offense kicked it into overdrive in the second half, with Roethlisberger hitting Hines Ward for two touchdown receptions, and Mike Wallace adding a third.

Roethlisberger finished the night completing 21 of 29 passes for 233 yards while Rashard Mendenhall led the running attack with 22 carries for 155 yards. ead full story here

Dennis Northcutt replaced Johnson in Detroit’s lineup Sunday.
Stafford missed two games with an injured right knee. He was able to rest last week because Detroit had a bye.
The No. 1 pick in the NFL draft threw three touchdowns and six interceptions in his first four games. He helped the Lions win in Week 3 win against Washington to end their 19-game losing streak.
Johnson did not play in the Lions’ previous game, a 26-0 loss at Green Bay, after injuring his right knee Oct. 11 against the Steelers. He has 22 receptions for 325 yards receiving and a TD this year. Last season, Johnson had 12 TD receptions. Read full story here

The Eagles vs Redskins score for week 7 Monday Night Football was closer than the game was. Philadelphia won 27-17 over Washington.
Going into Monday night’s Eagles vs Redskins game, it was expected that the Eagles would win. But that was no guarantee after their performance the week before in the loss to the Raiders.
Except for a few big plays, the Eagles offense continued to be mediocre during the Monday night Eagles vs Redskins game. The Eagles defense stepped up to the plate and performed. Read more here

NFL Scores Week 5: Dallas (26) – Kansas City (20)
Austin’s record day saves Cowboys
Miles Austin scored the winning touchdown in overtime on a 60-yard catch-and-run to cap a huge game in place of the injured Roy Williams, and the Dallas Cowboys escaped with a 26-20 victory Sunday over Kansas City.
Austin had 10 catches for 250 yards as the Cowboys survived numerous mistakes against the winless Chiefs. Austin also had a tackle-breaking 59-yard touchdown catch to give the Cowboys (3-2) a 20-13 lead with 2:16 left in the fourth quarter. Read full Story Here

NFL Scores Week 5: Brett Favre Minnesota Vikings vs. St. Louis Rams
Brett Favre was 18/24 for 232 yards and a touchdown, Adrian Peterson collected 69 yards on the ground and a pair of TDs and the defense of the Minnesota Vikings (5-0) forced four turnovers in a 38-10 pounding of the St. Louis Rams (0-5) on Sunday.
Peterson put the Vikings in front in the opening frame when he scored on a 5-yard run and two minutes later the Vikings were celebrating another touchdown after Jared Allen picked up a fumble and went 52-yards for a score and a 14-0 advantage. Both teams traded field goals in the second quarter and the half ended with Minnesota in front 17-3. Read full story here
