Fans will get a chance to fete the World Series champions on Friday when New York City will host a ticker-tape parade in honor of the Yankees.

The parade will be open to the public and a limited number of tickets will be available to the ceremony at City Hall Plaza. The city will be giving away 500 tickets to the public beginning at 2 p.m. Thursday. For more information, log on to nyc.gov/parade.
