Celebrity chef Paula Deen was showing what it means lend a hand this holiday season.

Deen who was participating in the delivery of  more than 25,000 lbs. of protein to Hosea Feed the Hungry.

While the hams and turkeys were being passed, one was accidentally thrown hitting Deen in the face.  Dean said “I think it might have hit maybe just right where, I thought it busted my lip, but it didn’t!”

Deen managed to escape without visible injury, she did say the “area around her nose hurt.”  “OUCH”
