Richard Sherman to Peyton’s Defense Via Twitter

Hours after Richard Sherman’s Seahawks beat the Broncos to win the Super Bowl, the outspoken cornerback was asking Seattle fans to stop tearing into Peyton Manning.

Before Super Bowl XLVIII's first snap went sailing past a bewildered Peyton Manning, Richard Sherman threatened to break the Internet.“There is no reason to bash him on here please Seattle let’s just enjoy this one!!!! He is still a Future HOF player,” Sherman tweeted.

Moments before, Sherman had nothing but kind words for Manning.

“Peyton is the Classiest person/player I have ever met! I could learn so much from him! Thank you for being a great Competitor and person,” he said in another tweet.

Manning largely avoided throwing at Sherman — widely considered among the league’s top corner backs — while throwing two picks and just a touchdown in the 43-8 loss at MetLife Stadium.

Manning and Sherman went at it a bit in the lead-up to Sunday’s big game.

Weeks ago, Sherman wrote in a Sports Illustrated column that sometimes Manning doesn’t get a good grip on the ball’s laces, causing him to throw “ducks.”

Manning responded with snark.

“They say he’s a smart player, and I don’t think that’s a real reach what he’s saying there,” Manning said on Thursday. “I do throw ducks. I’ve thrown a lot of yards and touchdown ducks, so I’m actually quite proud of it.”

Sherman later continued to laud the Broncos quarterback. “He’s a Hall of Fame player, he’s a living legend, he’s a record-holding quarterback, he’s a Super Bowl champion, he’s been a Super Bowl MVP,” he said.

Richard Sherman’s Annual Salary $465 Thousand and his total net worth is $1.5 million.

Social Media networks users continue to post “TWEETS’ about Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos Loss to Seattle.  Here’s what their saying.

Super Peyton or Super Russell?

The 2014 Super Bowl is just a few days away, and in anticipation of the “big game”  sports enthusiast are and odds makers are weighing in on the outcome.

Peyton Manning Russell WilsonWill it be Denver over Seattle (or vice versa)?  Can Russell hang in the pocket as well as Peyton?  Will it be in with the new or out with the old?  Will Peyton break his all time record of yelling “Ohama” in a single game and more importantly, what are the odds of the Veteran quarterback landing an endorsement deal with Omaha Steaks and  become what Marshawn Lynch is to skittles.  If I had to bet…I’d say that the “Superbowl Point Spreads”   are definitely in his favor.

We are now just days away from settling all of these questions.

Can Peyton win 1 more Super Bowl and solidify himself as one of the all time greatest QB’s, or, will Russell and the new wave Seahawks spoil the going away party? It was great last weekend watching Peyton and Tom battle it out knowing that we were witnessing possibly the final duel in this classic rivalry. It was also kind of ironic that the final 4 teams left in the playoffs were between 2 of the young guns and 2 of the legends of the game.

There is a definite changing of the guard in the NFL right now. If Peyton retires, we are left with that other Manning, Big Ben, Brady, Rogers, Rivers, Romo, Cutler, and Brees representing the old school and then most every other QB is under 25 years old. With Bridgewater, Bortles, and Manziel coming in next year ( and sure to start for whatever hapless team drafts them ), the league will get even younger at the QB position! Which one of the young guns will elevate their team to the elite level? Can Newton lead Carolina? They have the defense but Cam needs another wide out opposite of an aging Steve Smith. The so called experts keep telling us that Detroit is loaded with talent, but, is the problem Matthew Stafford or is he the answer? The clock is ticking once again in Motown! Flacco got the huge jack in Baltimore after a Super Bowl win but several key players either left or retired. Can the Ravens rebuild around him or fade into mediocrity? And then there is the inept J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS! Mark Sanchez? Geno Smith? Can you say 8-8 for years to come? Cincinnati keeps teasing us with great QB play one week and then Ryan Leaf shows up! And then there is the fiasco in Washington with RG III. Sorry ‘Skins fans, he is a very average QB that got your hopes up last year and then put a dagger in your hearts this season. Stay tuned….more of the same to come! If you are 6’5″ and 230 pounds, call the Raiders. Chances are you will sign a $50,000,000 contract and win…2 games! Once upon a time they were the most feared and recognized team in pro football. Today, they are the west coast version of the Jets! If Christian Ponder didn’t have such a hot wife, he would be out of Minnesota already. He was fragile in college and can’t last a year in the pros. A fragile QB with an aging running back – not a good recipe for success!

As they say, the more things change, the more they remain the same. Final 4 teams left standing next year – Brady and the Pats, Rogers and the Packers, Rivers and the Chargers, and Brees and the Saints.

Super Sunday or Nordic Sunday???

Now that the conference champions have been crowned, we must now wait 2 weeks before the big game.

Super Bowl XLVIIITwo weeks of the Talking Heads going over the same things, day after day, only with different Talking Heads each day. The experts that played the game give us blah, blah, blah, blah insight. And how about the weather gurus that are wrong about the weather 90% of the time telling us that….it will be cold on Super Bowl Sunday….maybe the coldest Super Bowl on record? When I grow up ( and it may be a while ), I want to be a weatherman. Where else in this country can you earn a paycheck for being wrong most of the time? Let’s see…if I was a betting man, I bet…. it will be cold for the Super Bowl! Wow! I have just started my new career as a weatherman. Weather Channel lookout – here I come! I have been to Vegas numerous times for the Super Bowl and seen all the crazy things you can place a wager on. I bet this year you can put a ducat on the temperature being above 38 degrees or below 36 degrees. For the coin toss, will the coin land on the carpet or a patch of snow?

All joking aside, why would the NFL put their showcase game in the NY/NJ area knowing that weather could play a HUGE roll in the outcome of the game? Corporate America has to be concerned also as they use this time to wine and dine top customers. This is supposed to be a fun filled weekend, not a time when you are fighting the elements and your first concern is trying to stay warm. Peyton Manning and Russell Wilson, Super BowlThe great people of the northeast do deserve an opportunity for a sporting event of this magnitude, however, a nor’easter could ruin the entire weekend and be a black eye for the league. If you saw the news today, that area just got hit with 13″ of the white stuff. Maybe that is a good sign, get the storm out of the way now and clear skies with warming temperatures are just around the corner. Don’t bet on that happening any time soon!

The Richard Sherman outburst has left a sour taste in many a fan. In talking to folks that don’t have a “dog in the fight”, they are now jumping on the Bronco Bandwagon. This could be the final game for Peyton Manning and just like Bronco legend John Elway before him, win the Super Bowl and ride off into retirement. There is absolutely no reason for Peyton to come back next year if the Broncos win this one. His health has to be more important than a few more paychecks. We are talking about a serious neck injury here. Why risk it? Win this final game and ride off into the sunset as one of the greatest quarterbacks in the history of pro football. Don’t bet against him, deep down he knows this is his last chance to put a ring on his finger and the great ones always rise to the occasion!

Quote, Peyton Manning
“Pressure is something you feel when you don’t know what the hell you’re doing.”
Quote, Russell Wilson
“Every game’s a championship game.  When we focus that way, get prepared that way, that this is it, you know, this is the last one, the biggest one, you get ready, you get amped up, you get that laser focus and you’re ready to play.”

The 2013 Season of the NFL is Back

NFL Cheerleaders Baltimore Ravens

NFL Season 2013 The NFL is back.

It’s an exciting time for NFL fans all over the world as the 94th season kicked off on September 5th between the defending champions (winners of the Super Bowl XLVII), the Baltimore Ravens against the Denver Broncos in the traditional kickoff match.

And we have until February 2nd next year when the season will end at Met Life stadium in New Jersey with the Super Bowl XLVIII. Who will win? Well, we have a long way to go and it’s not easy to make predictions this early on in the season.

The Broncos won the kick off game but what is the gossip about who is likely to win the whole thing? Many fans are favoring the Seattle Seahawks and the runners up in last year’s NFL Super Bowl, the San Francisco 49rs. A lot of the favor is down to the fact that both teams are benefitting from a couple of great quarterbacks, Seattle has Russell Wilson and the 49rs have Colin Kaepernick, who both get a lot of media attention.

The Seahawks also have a great defense and a fast running back Marshawn Lynch, pretty much matched by the 49ers’ great defense and their own amazing running back, Frank Gore.

Fans will be studying the odds before laying down their final predictions and if you’re one of them, it can be a good idea to check all the bookies’ odds in one handy place, like http://freebets.org  as you need the best analysis available if you’re looking to make any cash out of the NFL Super Bowl.

The Broncos are also a popular choice with a solid defense and Manning at the offense. Experts are coming in thick and fast with their predictions for the Super Bowl in February, with many favoring the Seahawks to win, thanks to their amazing defense – although many feel the score is likely to be on the low side, perhaps for the same reasons.

The Seattle Seahawks have never won the Super Bowl before so it would be their very first title win ever – something that could definitely be worth betting on if you think it’s a realistic possibility.

Also strong contenders being touted are the 49ers, as mentioned above, with some predicting a win over the Broncos in the Super Bowl. Yet more experts are considering the Falcons thanks to their star quarterback Matt Ryan and his likely effect on their team’s odds.

 NFL  Stadium Safety Guidelines

To provide a safer environment for the public and significantly expedite fan entry into stadiums, NFL teams have implemented an NFL policy this year that limits the size and type of bags that may be brought into stadiums.

The NFL Committee on Stadium Security in May unanimously recommended the implementation of this measure that will enhance public safety and make it easier for fans to gain access to all stadiums.
