A public memorial service is scheduled for former NFL quarterback Steve McNair, 36.

The first public viewing will take place in Nashville on Thursday followed by a memorial service that evening.

A funeral will be held Saturday in Mississippi but arrangements are not yet final. McNair, 36, in Mt. Olive, a small town in southern Mississippi where McNair grew up.

Fans are asked to make donations to the Steve McNair Foundation.

The  woman who was found shot in a Nashville apartment with former NFL quarter back Steve McNair has been identified  as

Sahel Kazemi, 20.

A pistol was found near the body of Kazemi. McNair  was shot multiple times and Kazemi suffered only one gun shot.

Authorities continue to investigate however it appears that they are not searching for a suspect. Could this be a possible murder suicide?  Comments and feedback welcomed.

The Tennessean T Com has reported

A car registered to former NFL quarterback Steve McNair and a 20-year-old woman was stopped two days ago on Broadway.

Update:  Steve McNair shot multiple times

The driver and co-owner, Sahel Kazemi, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath test. The car was a 2007 black Cadillac Escalade.

Earlier today, a black Escalade was towed from the condominium complex on Second Avenue where McNair and a female who has not yet been identified by police were found dead this afternoon. Read More Here

Titans Radio has reported that according to Police: Female Victim Not McNair’s Wife

Nashville Police confirmed that the second victim in the shooting of former Titans Quarterback Steve McNair was not his wife Mechelle.

Rumors circulated in the downtown area surrounding the murder scene Saturday afternoon that McNair’s wife was the second victim. One media outlet reported Mechelle McNair had been in Mississippi at the time of the shooting.

While ruling out McNair’s wife as the second victim, police did not identify her pending notification of next of kin. Read More Here

Steve McNair, former NFL quarterback and a woman were found shot to death Saturday afternoon inside a condominium in downtown Nashville, police said.

Yahoo Sports reported that:

Police spokesman Don Aaron said authorities were still investigating the shootings and that no suspects were in custody.

“I don’t have any answers for you now as to what’s happened, who’s responsible,” Aaron said.

Aaron said the 36-year-old McNair died of a gunshot wound to the head. He said police tentatively identified the woman, but did not release her name.
