Fired ESPN analyst Steve Phillips, who recently left the sex rehab clinic that has reportedly treated Tiger Woods, appeared on the “Today” show Monday morning to discuss his sex scandal and addiction.
“People look at sex addiction as an excuse; it’s not an excuse,” Phillips told Matt Lauer. “I’m fully responsible for everything that I did and accept responsibility for that.”

ESPN.com reports: Former ESPN baseball analyst and New York Mets general manager Steve Phillips said Monday that he knew he had a sex-addiction problem last August, two months before he was fired after having an affair with an ESPN production assistant.
A former Mets general manager, Phillips led the team to a 2000 World Series berth. But his six-year tenure with the Mets, from 1997-2003, was marred by another affair: The then-GM admitted to sleeping with a female team employee, Rosa Rodriguez, in 1998.

Phillips spoke publicly for the first time since leaving the same clinic in Hattiesburg, Miss., that golfer Tiger Woods reportedly attended. Tiger Woods-themed golf balls that depict the golfer’s alleged mistresses have upset at least one of the women in the set. Porn star Joslyn James (PHOTOS, VIDEO), who is wanted in Washington state says the balls are “wrong.”
