Super Bowl XLIX  New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks is scheduled to be played on February 1, 2015, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.  Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30pm MST (6:30pm EST/23:30 UTC).  This will be the second Super Bowl played in that stadium (XLII), and the third one held in the Phoenix metropolitan area (XXX at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe). The game will be broadcast in the United States by NBC.

National coverage: The game will be nationally broadcast on Westwood One radio, with Kevin Harlan as play-by-play announcer, Boomer Esiason as color analyst, and James Lofton and Mark Malone as sideline reporters. Jim Gray will anchor the pre-game and halftime coverage, with Larry Fitzgerald, Tom Brady, Scott Graham, Rod Woodson and Kurt Warner contributing.

Marshawn Lynch has one answer to any and all the questions he was ask during Tuesday’s Super Bowl media day.

The event takes place each year on the Tuesday during the week before Super Bowl Sunday.  The purpose is to give  both Super Bowl teams the opportunity to engage sports reporters, writers and broadcasters from across the country in the event’s annual Media Day.

Lynch was reportedly bombarded with questions regarding his recent incident in the NFC championship game.

For those who missed it…the Seattle Seahawks running back was  fined  $20k by the NFL for grabbing his crotch during a TD celebration.

Marshawn sat in front of the microphones sporting  sunglasses and a backpack.  Every time he was ask a question by the media he sounded like a broken record….Regardless of the topic of discussion he repeated over and over again, “Hey, I’m just here so I don’t get fined.”

Marshawn’s responses in Tuesday’s media event came as no surprise…” Over the last two seasons, Lynch has been fined $100,000 for failing to comply with the league’s mandate that players talk to reporters; if he stays mum on media day, he could incur another massive penalty.

Bad weather…no problem….especially if your a Patriots fan and you have tickets to this weekends Super Bowl in Arizona.

As of  Monday night…almost every flight from Boston to just about any and everywhere had been cancelled.  This left Patriots fans in major turmoil and uncertainty  as to whether or not they would making it to the game.

According to sources…Logan International Airport,  the biggest airport in New England has  added extra flights to handle the rush to AZ.

A rep for the Airport, said  “Five airlines have added additional flights to Phoenix from Logan starting on Thursday, in order to accommodate fans traveling to the Super Bowl.”

The rep says, “There have also been additional charter flights added — also starting Thursday.”

The New England Patriots  led by star quarterback Tom Brady won their eighth AFC championship — their sixth under Brady and coach Bill Belichick.

They will play the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at 6:30pm ET at University of Phoenix Stadium, Glendale, AZ

Russell Wilson and his wife, Ashton Meem, have filed for divorce.

Russell Wilson and Ashton Meem The Seahawks quarterback and 2014 Super Bowl champion released a statement through the team on Wednesday in which he said , “I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Wilson said. “Clearly, decisions like these don’t come easy. Ashton and I respectfully ask for prayers, understanding and privacy during this difficult time. Moving forward, I will have no further comments on this personal matter.”

Wilson and Meem  met in high school.   They had a long-distance relationship while Wilson was at North Carolina State and Ashton was at the University of Georgia. They were engaged in August 2010, just five months before Wilson transfered to Wisconsin.

They were married on Jan.14, 2013.  The couple has three canine breed children…Penny a beagle, Cali a dachshund, and Prince, a  Great Dane.

Wilson, a legal nurse consultant.  He has an older brother, Harrison IV, and a younger sister, Anna.  Wilson started playing football with his dad and brother at the age of four.

Wilson is multiracial. His racial background is mostly African American, though he also has some Native American ancestry.  His great-great-grandfather was a slave to a Confederate colonel and was freed after the American Civil War.  Wilson’s grandfather, Harrison B. Wilson Jr., is a former president of Norfolk State University who played football and basketball at Kentucky State University. His father played football and baseball at Dartmouth and was a wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers preseason squad in 1980. Wilson’s brother played football and baseball at the University of Richmond, and his sister is considered one of the top high school basketball prospects in the country.[

Wilson’s father died on June 9, 2010 at age 55 due to complications from diabetes.
