  • Wimbledon began in the year 1877, at the All England Club, in the London suburb of Wimbledon.
  • Wimbledon starts on the Monday falling between 20 and 26 June, which is six weeks before the first Monday in August.

Instead, she reportedly said she had a simple argument with “my her husband” and that was it.

TMZ.com broke the story after cops responded to the 911 call last week.   There was no visible evidence of injury and she never mentioned that the actor laid a finger on her.

Nyquist Wins the Kentucky Derby

Nyquist wins The Kentucky DerbyNyquist has won the 2016 Kentucky Derby and has completed his first stride towards the Triple Crown.

Nyquist, who is owned by Reddam Racing LLC and trained by Doug F. O’Neill is a three year old colt with ties to professional hockey.
He is named after National Hockey League player Gustav Nyquist, a right wing for the Detroit Red Wings.
The bay colt is from the first crop of sire Uncle Mo, who never got the chance to run in the Derby after being the early favorite for the 2011 race. He was scratched the day before because of a stomach illness. Uncle Mo had two other offspring in this year’s race: Mo Tom and Outwork.

Nyquist, a 2-1 favorite grabbed the lead down the homestretch and held off Exaggerator to win by 1 1/4 lengths.

The official winning time for the 1 1/4-mile race was 2:01.31. That was almost two seconds faster than Triple Crown winner American Pharoah’s time last year.

Nyquist remains undefeated in its eight-race career and will look to pick up the second leg of the Triple Crown at the Preakness.

The next leg of the Triple Crown, the Preakness Stakes, will be held May 21.

The Derby is frequently referred to as “The Run for the Roses,” because a lush blanket of 554 red roses is awarded to the Kentucky Derby winner each year. The tradition is as a result of New York socialite E. Berry Wall presenting roses to ladies at a post-Derby party in 1883 that was attended by Churchill Downs founder and president, Col. M. Lewis Clark. This gesture is believed to have eventually led Clark to the idea of making the rose the race’s official flower. However, it was not until 1896 that any recorded account referred to roses being draped on the Derby winner. The Governor of Kentucky awards the garland and the trophy.

Blake Griffin Reportedly Broke His Hand Hitting a Clippers’ Equipment Staff Member

The L.A. Clippers have come out strong and are condemning the actions of forward  Blake Griffin.

They have confirmed rumors that Griffin punched the team’s assistant equipment manager during a dispute at a restaurant on Jan. 23rd and are calling his actions disgraceful.

A spokesperson for the team Clippers franchise issued a statement saying that , “Griffin suffered a spiral fracture of the 4th metacarpal in his right hand throwing a punch on Jan. 23rd in Toronto.”
