Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson, has been suspended from the team until November 9, due to his use of gay slurs.

The first slur was committed on Twitter, and the second was muttered under his breath, apparently during a press conference. Johnson’s agent will be appealing the case, saying that Johnson will already be losing $600,000 due to his suspension.

Meghan McCain didn’t anticipate the backlash when she posted this photo to Twitter

New Yorks Daily News:  Republican firebrand Meghan McCain’s skimpy pajamas have her conservative followers all atwitter, forcing the daughter of failed 2008presidential candidate Sen. John McCain to apologize for posting a racy photo of her décolletage.

She tweets: “[My] ’spontaneous’ night in is my Andy Warhol biography and takeout. … I’m getting old,” she writes.

The trouble started around 8 p.m. Wednesday when The Daily Beast columnist uploaded a photo of herself in a low-cut tank-top reading a biography of Andy Warhol.  Read full story here

Ever since the news broke out about Stafon Johnson’s weightlifting accident, in which a bar dropped onto his neck, his fans have all been sending their well wishes.

9/29/09-Pete Carroll who just announced it on the Pac-10 conference call. “Stafon Johnson is communicating non-verbally,” and, “has been removed from some equipment,” according to Carroll.

And now, it appears that Johnson has opened a Twitter account, just to thank his fans.

Johnson was rushed to hospital on Monday, after he dropped a bar on his throat and started to cough up blood. Reports from foxsports.com, say that Johnson is still recovering from the re-constructive surgery, which took seven hours. But the USC tailback is said to be resting now, oh and Tweeting of course.  Read more here

CBC News has reported that a Georgian blogger with accounts on Twitter, Facebook, LiveJournal, and Google’s Blogger and YouTube was targeted in a denial-of-service attack that led to the site wide outage at Twitter and problems at the other sites on Thursday, according to a Facebook executive.

The blogger, who uses the account name “Cyxymu,” (the name of a town in the Republic of Georgia) had accounts on all of the different sites that were attacked at the same time, Max Kelly, chief security officer at Facebook, told CNET News.
