Vidal Sassoon, the renowned stylist and fashion icon has passed away at the age of 84-years-old.
Sassoon, who opened his first salon in London in 1954 and is known for creating, in 1963, a short, angular cut on a horizontal plane that was the recreation of the classic “bob cut.”
Vidal Sassoon also pioneered the so-called ready-to-wear hair–no rollers, dryer, or hair spray required.
was at his Hollywood home when he passed away from an unspecified illness.
In 2009, Sassoon, was diagnosed with leukemia. His diagnosis was not revealed until 2011.
It has Sources have not confirmed whether or not his played a role in his death.
In 1992, he married Rhonda Sassoon. She stayed with him until his death.
He is also survived by his wife and three children.
